About Us
The Celtic Saint
"To all who are beloved of God, called as Saints: Grace to you, and Peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 1:7
We are all called to be saints in our day, whether we are ultimately canonised or not. Each little bit of good put out into the world is celebrated in heaven. Our business is our little act of service to the Church, and we do it with humility and gratitude for all we are given.
The name of our business was chosen to reflect this calling to sainthood, which we strive towards each day. It also gives a nod to its Scottish roots, which are very important to us. We try our hardest to source our materials sustainably through local providers, giving back to the communities who have surrounded us through our lives.
Where It Started
Our business started with a seed that was planted inside one young woman, born and raised in Scotland, who has always had a heart for creativity. Growing up, she always liked to make the effort to give handmade cards and gifts to friends and family. A devout cradle Catholic, she has spent much of her life involved in various ministries and services to the Church.
Since 2017, she has worked on a part-time (and now voluntary) basis for her diocesan youth service, which is also something she is very passionate about. In summer 2023, she plans to take a group of young pilgrims (aged 17-25) out to the Pope’s World Youth Day festival in Lisbon, Portugal. In order to help cover the costs, she started selling some of her cards at the back of her local parish church. Her designs were popular, and sales were going well, so she decided to really put some effort in and see what this could become - so here we are today.
Where It's Going
We are a small home business in central Scotland, run in between family commitments and youth activities, but with a big heart full of love.
We appreciate and pray for every customer and recipient, whether they are Catholic, religious or otherwise, and hope that our products will bring some joy into their lives.
